Bargaining Sessions Continue

Bargaining sessions between the United Faculty of Florida (UFF)-Tallahassee Community College and the College are continuing. The seventh bargaining session to negotiate a new Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) between the UFF and TCC will take place on Friday, November 12, 2021.

The first bargaining session concerning the current negotiations on a new CBA, which will be the College’s third contract with the UFF, occurred on February 26, 2021. Both sides also met on March 11, April 15, May 14 and September 10 and September 30th.

The parties began negotiations on the second CBA on August 29, 2019, and a tentative agreement was reached in August 2020. The UFF-TCC chapter voted 107-6 to approve the second CBA with the College on October 16, 2020. The TCC District Board of Trustees voted to approve the same CBA at its regular monthly meeting on September 21, 2020.

The full-time faculty, counselors and librarians of TCC voted to unionize on August 4, 2016. TCC and the UFF began contract negotiations on the first CBA in September 2016. Trustees approved the first CBA in the College’s history on October 22, 2018.
