Current Negotiations

Bargaining between Tallahassee Community College and the United Faculty of Florida (UFF) – TCC Chapter to negotiate their sixth collective bargaining agreement (CBA) for the 2024-25 year will continue with a second session on Tuesday, May 7 at 3 p.m. via Zoom.

Prior Agreements

The full-time faculty, counselors and librarians of TCC voted to unionize on August 4, 2016, and the College began contract negotiations with the United Faculty of Florida (UFF) – TCC Chapter in September 2016. An impasse was declared the following September after a year of negotiations. Hearings with a magistrate were held March 1, 2018 and after the recommendations were accepted by both sides, an agreement was reached that August. UFF-TCC ratified the agreement on September 13, 2018. The District Board of Trustees approved the first College’s first Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) on October 22, 2018.

2023-24 Collective Bargaining Agreement

After nine bargaining sessions for the 2023-24 CBA, the parties came to a tentative agreement on February 1, 2024. The agreement was ratified by the faculty on February 12. Of the 171 eligible to vote, 110 voted, 104 YES and six NO. The TCC District Board of Trustees then approved the agreement at their regular business meeting on February 19.
