Tallahassee Urban League, Inc. is hosting a service day in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and is in need of volunteers. During the event, volunteers will be helping to clean the Frenchtown community.

Help restock our Eagle’s Nest Food Pantry for our student body for the summer and fall!
Donations can be dropped off to the SLICE Office SU 185 Monday – Friday 9 a.m. -4 p.m. For those Departmental Offices that have donate boxes located in their space, pick-up accommodations can be made. Contact Charlie Davis, III at (850) 201-8987 to schedule those arrangements.
The food portion of the pantry is in need of the following non-perishable food items:
- canned vegetables
- breakfast foods (oatmeal, cereal, granola bars, etc.)
- snack foods (granola bars, crackers, pretzels, etc.)
The personal care portion of the pantry is in need of the following items:
- hygiene products (toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, deodorant, etc.)
- feminine products
- first aid products
No hotel toiletries or travel size items.

SLICE presents our Fall Service Fair, bringing together organizations from around our community to our campus. From 9 a.m. to noon and 1 – 2 p.m., students have a chance to explore various opportunities to volunteer or gain service-learning hours with these agencies and make connections that could last all year!
Learn about opportunities with Living Harvest, Second Harvest, Tallahassee Museum, Literacy Volunteers of Leon County, 2-1-1 Big Bend, Habitat for Humanity, Florida Department of Health, Alzheimer’s Project, Museum of Florida History, and Mission San Luis.
