New Student Convocation celebrates the TCC community, its traditions and its opportunities for our students. It is our official welcome for all new students and marks the beginning of their collegiate journey. We hope you will join us in this campus-wide celebration of academic excellence.

8:30 – 9:45 a.m.: Check-In at the Lifetime Sports Complex & Resource Fair

10 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.: Welcome to Eagle Nation

10:30 a.m. – 11 a.m.: Transition for Students and Parents

11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.: Pathways Presentation in FPAC

12:45 p.m. – 2 p.m.: Take Flight – TCC Experience (Lunch, Ice Cream Social, Games, Music, Resource Fair)

Join us at our first ever New Student Convocation to kick off TCC Experience Week! Refreshments will be served.

Stop by the Welcome Tents to ask any questions about your first week, participate in giveaways, and grab a snack to go!

Fall Campus Resource Fair 
Student Union Lounge
Aug. 23 | 10 a.m. – noon

Come explore all of the resources and opportunities that TCC has to offer. Representatives from departments across campus will be available for answering questions and giving information in one convenient spot!

SLICE’s Fall Luau
Outside Student Union

Aug. 23 | noon – 2 p.m.

SLICE will host a Fall Luau featuring TCC’s student clubs, organizations, and collegiate programs. Enjoy music, free Kona Ice and treats, and find out how to get involved!

New Student Convocation

New Student Convocation welcomes new students to the TCC community and articulates the institution’s mission, values, expectations, and purpose. The occasion also assist students with getting a feel for the campus, learning about resources, and strategies for being successful in college.

All incoming freshmen and transfer students are encouraged to attend. Parents are not required to attend, but you may invite your family to share this experience. All participants must have registered with a student to attend.



8:30 – 9 a.m. –   Coffee and Light Refreshments (Campus resources and academic enrichment programs staff on-site to answer questions)
9 – 11 a.m. –        Welcome to TCC
11 a.m. – noon – TCC Walk-a-bouts (self-guided tours)
