Immigration Executive Order

Immigration Executive Order

Dear Students, Faculty and Staff,

Tallahassee Community College is concerned about the impact of the Trump administration’s recent executive order that prohibits citizens from seven majority-Muslim nations from entering the United States for at least the next 90 days. This new travel/border policy has created uncertainty and confusion among our students, faculty and staff.

The College is closely monitoring this situation, which is rapidly changing, and will provide additional information as more specific details become available. In the meantime, we recommend international members of the College who are from Iraq, Syria, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan and Yemen not leave the United States.

We remain committed to the importance of cultural diversity at our College. I am asking the TCC community to be sensitive to this issue and to be supportive of our students. If you or anyone you know needs support or assistance, please reach out to the following resources:

For immigration and travel questions, please contact Li Pon, International Student Services Advisor by phone at (850) 201-9888 or by email at ponl@tcc.fl.edu.

For safety and security questions, the TCC Campus Police Department is available by calling (850) 201-6100 or by email at campuspolice@tcc.fl.edu.  In case of an emergency you should immediately call 911.

Thank you,
